Biography

Dr. Keith Forwith began his career in research, obtaining a Ph.D. in biochemistry from Purdue University. He then attended Case Western Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio (ranked #23 by US News & World Report) where he finished at the top of his class and was selected into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. After medical school, he trained at one of the nations top ENT residency programs. Commonwealth ENT has a long standing dedication to the treatment of children, so Dr. Forwith's training with some of the world's leading experts in pediatric otolaryngology and airway reconstruction made him a perfect fit.

He has a natural affinity for computers and technology and remains on the forefront of otolaryngology. The electronic medical record templates he developed for Commonwealth ENT are now used by other practices across the nation. He has been among the first to adopt new technologies for problems as simple as tonsillectomy to advanced problems such as thyroid cancer. He was the first ENT in Louisville to perform balloon sinuplasty - a less invasive alternative to traditional sinus surgery. He maintains a broad spectrum of practice including special interests in thyroid surgery, allergy and sinus disease. He is the father of four wonderful children which explains his ability to connect with kids.  He makes time to coach youth soccer and is an active member of his church. This year he will celebrate his 20th wedding anniversary with his college sweetheart, Sue. He and his family love spending time at the lake and our avid water sports enthusiasts.
